Austone is one of four brands belonging to the Prinx Chengshan (Shandong) Tire company. Prinx Chengshan was founded and developed its first tyres in 1976. The company is now one of the 10 largest Chinese tyre manufacturers and sells its products in more than 130 countries. In 2019, the company was recognised by the HKEK as the "Most Valuable Automobile and Industrial Manufacturing Stock Company".
Reifen von Austone werden intensiven Tests durch bekannte, aber auch unabhängigen Testfahrern und Ingenieuren unterzogen. Dies passiert auf den Testgeländen von TESTWORLD in Ivalo, Finnland, und IDIADA in Santa Oliva, Spanien. Die Tests umfassen unter anderem Schnee, Nass- und Trockenbremsen.
