General tyres
The General Tire and Rubber Company laid the foundation for its success in 1915, in Ohio, USA. In 1982, the company began a cooperation with the renowned tyre manufacturer Continental AG, with a view to producing 500,000 tyres per year on American soil. In 1987, Continental AG acquired General Tire, and rebranded the company as Continental Tire North America. For the time being, General Tire remains a regional brand in the USA and is currently also distributed internationally.
The tyres from the General Tire brand benefit from the competence and sound expertise of the parent corporation. They stand out on account of their good wet grip, optimal safety, and secure road-holding capability.
