Ich bin begeistert von diesem Reifen, in Zukunft wird nur noch dieser Reifen gefahren. Sind 10 Tage RDGA Frankreich Tour gefahren mit 3.500 km und durch 5 Länder gefahren jede Straßenverhältnisse waren gegeben ob Rau oder feiner Straßenbelag und bei Regen, der Reifen klebt richtig auf der Straße und bei Nässe auch, bei Nässe ist bei jeden Reifen Vorsicht geboten. Habe aber keinen Rutscher bei Nässe gehabt. Die Abnutzung hält sich in Grenzen und vermute dass dieser mindestens 8 bis 10.000 km hält. Klare Empfehlung für die Africa Twin CRF 1100 Adventure Sports

Der beste Reifen bisher auf meiner R1200 GS Adventure, für meinen Geschmack. Ich fahre eher sportlich, 95% Asphalt, 5% Schotter. Der eine Stern Abzug beim Komfort ist für das deutlich wahrnehmbare Abrollgeräusch bei leichter Schräglage. Das ist aber Jammern auf hohem Niveau.

An diesen Reifen muss man sich erst gewöhnen. Besonders anfangs - wenn noch viel Profil und somit Gewicht drauf ist - fühlt er sich etwas behäbig an, was mit zunehmender Laufleistung kontinuierlich besser wird. Auffallend ist ein von Anfang an sicheres Gefühl in allen Schräglagen. Das Reifenpaar hat jetzt ca. 5.600 km nach einem Norwegen Urlaub. Profiltiefen hinten noch 6 mm (anfangs 9mm) und vorne noch 4 mm (anfangs 4,5mm). Durch den Urlaub nicht repräsentativ, aber die Laufleistung ist definitiv sehr gut. Der zuvor oft gefahrene Pirelli Skorpion Trial Attack II hielt vorne 3.000 bis 5.000km und hinten 5.000 bis 7.000km. Einziger Nachteil des Meridian sind Abrollgeräusche; man gewöhnt sich aber daran. Deshalb der eine Stern weniger bei der Qualität.
