Description
MICHELIN CrossClimate 3 – the all-season tyre
- Reliable all year round – whatever the weather
- Longer service life thanks to durable tread – without compromising on reliability
- Efficient energy use for vehicles with combustion engines, hybrid and electric drives
- Also suitable for electric vehicles
The MICHELIN CrossClimate 3 is an all-season tyre designed for use in a variety of weather conditions, including snow. It uses proven MICHELIN technologies, including Thermal Adaptive Tread Compound technology, which adapts to changing road conditions. MICHELIN Energy Efficiency technologies promote efficient energy use and help reduce fuel consumption. The tyre is designed for comfort, durability and consistent performance throughout the year.
Reliability – all year round:
The MICHELIN CrossClimate 3 offers reliable performance in dry, wet and snowy road conditions – whatever the season. Thermal Adaptive Tread Compound technology adapts to changing conditions and supports vehicle control. The optimised tread design reduces braking distances on wet roads by 4%. In addition, the tyre is certified with the 3PMSF symbol for use in snow.
16% higher mileage meets consistent performance:
The MICHELIN CrossClimate 3 adapts to every bend in the road and distributes acceleration, braking and steering forces evenly. This can lead to 15% higher mileage. The tyre also features a wear indicator that makes it easy to track the degree of wear.
Choose efficiency – whether you have a combustion engine, electric or hybrid drive:
This all-season tyre uses MICHELIN Energy Efficiency technologies to reduce energy loss and optimise rolling resistance. This can contribute to lower fuel consumption or extended range for electric vehicles.
An all-season tyre – also for your electric vehicle:
More range per charge. More peace and quiet. The MICHELIN CrossClimate 3 is tailored to the requirements of your electric vehicle and, thanks to Pioano Acoustic Technology, reduces driving noise – for greater driving comfort, whether with new or used tyres.
Manufacturer information
EU Tyre Label
The Tyre Labelling Regulation determines the information that must be provided with regard to tyres' fuel efficiency, wet grip and external rolling noise. Information is also provided on the product's performance in wintery driving conditions.
Regulation EU 1222/2009, which has been in force since 01/11/2012, has been revised and will be replaced from 1 May 2021 by Regulation EU 2020/740, from which point new standards will apply. The assessment categories for fuel efficiency, wet grip and external noise have been changed and the layout of the EU label has been changed accordingly. The manufacturers' product data sheets, stored in the EU database, can be downloaded via a QR code integrated into the label. It also includes information on snow grip and ice grip for tyres that meet these criteria.
The following tyres are exempt from the regulation:
- Tyres designed to be fitted only to vehicles registered for the first time before 1 October 1990
- Remoulded tyres (until Regulation EU 2020/740 has been widened accordingly)
- Professional off-road tyres
- Racing tyres
- Tyres with additional devices to improve traction, e.g. studded tyres
- Temporary-use spare tyres (T-type tyres)
- Tyres with a speed rating below 80 km/h
- Tyres with a nominal rim diameter of 254 mm or less and 635 mm or more
