Description
The Semperit Speed Grip offers ultimate grip on icy and snow-covered roads. The network sipes generate greater grip on snow and ice. As the sipes in the tread block are linked with each other, the film of water that occurs when braking and accelerating on ice can be more quickly dispersed into the grooves. The sipes work like a windscreen wiper on ice. In order to generate yet more grip, the new Speed Grip has been given a larger number of tread blocks in the shoulder area. When under strain, these tread blocks form a large number of edges that can interlock with the snow, thereby generating extra grip. In order to further improve the alpine-proven driving characteristics on dry roads, a continuous central belt has been added to the tread. The resulting longitudinal stiffness ensures good grip and shorter braking distances on tarmac.
