Description
Safe driving at high speeds
Safe and stable on wet roads
Uncompromising safety on slippery roads
Aramid reinforcement belt: The aramid reinforcement belt is made from the highest quality material available for Tyres today. The optimised shape of the contact area is maintained, enabling excellent handling.
Particularly stiff outer shoulder: The outer blocks and shoulders of the tyre, where high loads and contact pressure are concentrated when cornering, are widened. Maximum steering grip is ensured by the dual effect of the aramid hybrid reinforcement belt, which ensures a flat contact patch in all conditions. This also improves dry handling by 15%.
Interlocking grooves: The Ventus S1 evo 3 is equipped with interlocking outer grooves that ensure grip on wet roads and prevent aquaplaning on slippery surfaces. This enhances its power on wet roads and when cornering in the rain without compromising handling on dry roads.
Highly enriched synthetic silica compound (HSSC): HSSC (Highly Enriched Synthetic Silica Compound) is a new compound in which highly purified, high-quality silica is vulcanised at low temperatures for twice as long as in conventional Tyres. This allows for better mixing of the molecules, ensuring solid handling and higher mileage.
Improved heat circulation and air permeability: In addition to the effectiveness of heat circulation and air permeability through the use of repeating structured units, the double-sized siping pattern ensures the correct spacing and height differences. This results in improved Driving comfort.
ProMileage technology: Mileage is significantly improved by ProMileage technology. This technology ensures that the Tyres' contact with the road is maximised and that forces are evenly distributed during acceleration, braking and cornering.
Dual pitch on the inside: Offers improved power in terms of aquaplaning and braking on wet roads by increasing the number of inner divisions (blocks) to utilise the recesses for improved water drainage.
Dual pitch on the outside: The number of outer sipes is optimised to ensure the steering precision required for dry cornering, which also helps to reduce tread noise.
Manufacturer information
EU Tyre Label
The Tyre Labelling Regulation determines the information that must be provided with regard to tyres' fuel efficiency, wet grip and external rolling noise. Information is also provided on the product's performance in wintery driving conditions.
Regulation EU 1222/2009, which has been in force since 01/11/2012, has been revised and will be replaced from 1 May 2021 by Regulation EU 2020/740, from which point new standards will apply. The assessment categories for fuel efficiency, wet grip and external noise have been changed and the layout of the EU label has been changed accordingly. The manufacturers' product data sheets, stored in the EU database, can be downloaded via a QR code integrated into the label. It also includes information on snow grip and ice grip for tyres that meet these criteria.
The following tyres are exempt from the regulation:
- Tyres designed to be fitted only to vehicles registered for the first time before 1 October 1990
- Remoulded tyres (until Regulation EU 2020/740 has been widened accordingly)
- Professional off-road tyres
- Racing tyres
- Tyres with additional devices to improve traction, e.g. studded tyres
- Temporary-use spare tyres (T-type tyres)
- Tyres with a speed rating below 80 km/h
- Tyres with a nominal rim diameter of 254 mm or less and 635 mm or more
