Motor oil with manufacturer approval BMW Longlife-12 FE
Engine oil with the manufacturer approval BMW Longlife-12 FE has been specially developed for modern BMW engines. This approval is primarily aimed at newer BMW models with petrol engines produced from around 2013. The ‘FE’ in the designation stands for ‘Fuel Economy’.
Manufacturer approvals such as BMW Longlife-12 FE are crucial as they ensure that the engine oil fulfils the specific requirements and specifications of BMW. These approvals guarantee that the oil provides optimum protection and performance, especially in terms of engine longevity and efficiency.
BMW Longlife-12 FE engine oils usually have a viscosity of 0W-30, which means that they provide excellent lubrication at both cold and high temperatures. These oils are specially formulated to protect the engine from wear, minimise deposits and at the same time protect exhaust aftertreatment systems such as catalytic converters and particulate filters.
Using this oil provides optimum protection for the engine.
