Runflat summer tyres and their advantages

Runflat summer tyres are special car tyres that are characterised by the so-called run-flat property. This means that in the event of a puncture, you can still cover a distance of 80 to 300 km without having to change the tyre. However, as with a spare wheel, a maximum speed of 80km/h must be maintained. Runflat summer tyres have reinforced sidewalls or a support ring. This prevents the tyres from bursting or losing pressure. This special feature makes it unnecessary to carry a spare wheel. In combination with EH2 rims, which prevent the punctured tyre from popping off, the Runflat summer tyres offer sufficient transmission of braking force, driving force, steering force as well as other aspects that are important for driving.
