Runflat winter tyres

Runflat tyres ensure that sufficient driving stability and safety are maintained even in the event of a loss of pressure. Runflat winter tyres offer run-flat properties. In the event of a puncture, you can still drive at 80 km/h for up to 100 kilometres. The next service station or workshop should therefore be within easy reach. In the case of an ordinary winter tyre, a sudden puncture usually results in an accident - at least at high speeds. However, if the tyre is a run-flat winter tyre with run-flat properties, the vehicle remains largely stable and controllable. An accident can therefore be avoided in most cases.

If necessary, adjust the tyre dimensions in the filter to get suitable hits in the list.

How is a runflat tyre constructed?

A stronger sidewall on the tyre is responsible for driving stability in the event of a puncture. This ensures that the tyre remains drivable even in the event of a loss of pressure. The shape of the tyre remains almost unchanged. In contrast to normal run-flat tyres, run-flat winter tyres have a reinforced tread with significantly more grooves. This means that a Runflat winter tyre offers more grip in snow and icy conditions than a Runflat summer tyre. With run-flat winter tyres, you are therefore always safe on the road, even in bad weather conditions during the winter months.

In addition to the safety aspects, run-flat winter tyres also protect the environment: by eliminating the need for a spare wheel in the boot, you quickly save 20 kg in weight, which reduces fuel consumption and thus also protects the environment - and your wallet at the same time.

Many people are familiar with this: you are driving on a road with little traffic in winter, suddenly your vehicle swerves to one side and you end up in a ditch. The cause: a puncture with sudden loss of pressure. You were still lucky in this case - a tyre blowout can also quickly end in a rollover. Fortunately, you have a spare wheel in the boot. Now all you have to do is mount the spare wheel and continue your journey. However, if you have little experience in changing tyres, it is completely snow-covered and you don't have the right tools, you will quickly despair of changing a tyre. But that doesn't have to be the case - a run-flat winter tyre promises a remedy.
